wonderful stay
beautiful groundshelpful staffmissing air conditioning
the grounds are beautiful and well looked after, with many acres to explore. the food were excellent and the staff very helpful, i am grateful. i participated in archery under excellent supervision and played boule, thoroughly enjoying both activities.
the walk to the eating facilities felt a little long, i think it was. the room lacked air conditioning, and it made the room not the most suitable for me. i hope this gets fixed soon.

the hotel sits in beautiful grounds, perfect for walks. the grounds have many hidden gem corners to sit in. drives to local villages were accessible from the hotel, i think this is an important aspect.

The food at the Travelling Duke was good. The venue was busy, but the service was still really good. I also enjoyed a swim and time in the hot tub. The evening entertainment was fine too.
Breakfast at the Market Kitchen always involved a queue. I waited 20 to 30 minutes even with pre-booked times. Some tables felt too close together. I expect better than this situation.

my room was a standard double room adult only hotel. it had a good en-suite shower and bathroom. i liked the beautiful grounds too, grounds i could walk around easily. it was a relaxing experience.
my room's carpet did not appear vacuumed. i saw bits and a peanut on one side of my bed.

I found this hotel quite excellent. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very polite, engaging and helpful. Rooms are very clean and well-kept. The hotel is set within well-kept grounds.
I found that one of the lifts did not have speech functionality, not helpful for visually impaired guests.

The swimming pool, jacuzzi and dressing room were clean. Dyson hairdryers were available in the dressing room. The hotel provided an app. This allowed reservations for dining, entertainment, and activities. These facilities were all well maintained.

The hotel is in a rural area. The hotel offers ample walking areas within its grounds. The surrounding area has villages with walking areas, historical interest and afternoon teas by the river, it IS WORTH exploring.

The staff was to enjoy their work and visitors. Staff were on hand to bring meals from the kitchen. This made dining very easy. The staff also were helpful with the app, though it was easy to use. They are friendly.

I dined in the Market Garden. Food was very good, well presented and easily accessible. A large orangery room looks out onto a large patio. Seating overlooks a well-kept garden and bowls green.
